About Adrianna D’Angelo
You know that time you had unprotected sex, and later thought, “Boy, that was risky,” and maybe had a flash of relief at your next period? Well… I took that risk…and never got the period. So what happens when a methodical, responsible and driven 28-year old finds herself pregnant after just a few dates? Keep reading!
My name is Adrianna D’Angelo. I have a Master’s degree and a fulfilling job in Philadelphia. I am 29 and single…with a beautiful son named Dante!
I blog about it here, for Magazine BLU.
I am a first-time mom, and single to boot. So now life is a big question mark. This is the first ‘event’ in my life that I did not meticulously plan and research first, so it’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride. But, hey- what’s life without a few surprises?
I’m thrilled to have Dante, and I couldn’t have a better support system. Still, raising a son with no partner and an income that is not commensurate with my education will definitely be a challenge. Throw into the mix any attempts at creating a love connection, and you have the makings of an interesting blog! The names are changed, but the truth is stranger than fiction. So check back daily and cheer us on… Adrianna and Dante are gonna rock this world!

Yes, it does go by quickly and really enjoy your little one while he is young. I just miss the days when Nick was just born. Every stage/age has been wonderful but the first year just goes by sooo fast!
I can’t wait to see pics of your little boy!
Take care,
Donna

Hi Adrianna,
My “baby” just graduated from high school today. It is with great pride that I congratulate him, suffused with a tinge of sadness, as I miss the little tyke that he once was. They grow up so fast.
I have been a single parent since my son was 7 years old and he has been a daily source of inspiration, motivation, and love in my life. Although there have been many challenges and money has been tight, I wouldn’t trade one minute away, not for anything.
Best of luck to you, you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders.
xo,
~kelly

My friend sent me this link (she has a Jul07 baby too, so saw you on BBC), thinking I could relate… she said you reminded her of me… smart, witty and single, lol. I take it as a huge compliment as I have enjoyed reading your blog. My son is almost a year and a half old, and I’ve been a single mom (and the singular parent) since I found out I was pg. I can relate to a lot of what you are going through and I am so glad that you have a great support system. Congrats on Dante and on doing a great job with him!
